Gosh, it's time again for Jim's birthday

We take a moment to reflect on good old Jim, whose birthday seems to fall almost every year on August 17th.  I'd say Jim is a good man.  Husband, father, brother, son, worker bee, friend to many, survivor of many injuries and accidents, smart guy, well read, creative, handy with the tools, can back almost any trailer into position within two tries, funny, generous with his time and his ideas.  He'd give you the shirt off his back (but you'd better wash it first).  So there you go.

Teacher

For those who haven't heard, Emily has accepted an English teaching position this fall at Owatonna High School.  She's already found an apartment, and will move her stuff the weekend of August 15th.  Her boyfriend Matt was hired at Faribault High School (15 miles up I-35, so that's convenient).  We're very proud of her, and excited for this new adventure.  It's the culmination of many years of hard work.  Congratulations!
