Windy City of Big Shoulders

As Andrew ends his freshman year of college at the U of M, his life enters a new chapter in Chicago.  Dissatisfied with aspects of such a large college, he took it upon himself to find a better fit.  He was accepted for the fall term at Roosevelt University (Google it!) in Chicago.  RU is a small, urban, liberal arts college with an emphasis on social justice.  The campus is one building (a restored historic hotel) right on Michigan Ave. overlooking Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain, Lake Michigan, and many great museums.  Andrew, Kathy, and I visited the campus in April - we were all quite impressed.  Andrew attended a class and had a very good feeling about the place. We're happy for him!  In an amazing coincidence, his beloved friend Allison will be attending Chicago's Columbia University in the fall - her campus is just down the street.  I learned that RU (which was started by Franklin D. and Eleanor) does not have a mascot or a nickname (like the Golden Gophers or Buckeyes).  Any suggestions?

Congratulations Andrew on making such an important decision so thoughtfully. We hope you will enjoy RU. Looks like they already have a mascot of sorts: http://www.roosevelt.edu/icl/fala.htm
